In this case just sending an UNSUBSCRIBE message to the list processor is not sufficient, how could it be? The HELP document from the list server indicates that you can unsubscribe using the syntax: UNSUBSCRIBE <mailing-list> [-e email] [-p password] So sending a message like: UNSCRIBE WWW-HTML -e oldusername@old.email.address should do the trick.
