ALT specification

Hi everybody !

I have a suggestion for ALT attribut (IMG tag). Why don't we use it with full HTML syntax and not just with simple text. I mean, what do you think of such use :

<IMG SRC="pictures" ALT="<PRE>   ._.<BR>  /   \<BR> /     \<BR>/-------\<BR> |   |_|<BR> | __  |<BR> | <A HREF=door.html>||</A>  |</PRE>"> My House !

Which could be displayed like this:
   ._.
  /   \
 /     \
/-------\
 |   |_|
 | __  |
 | ||  |   My house !
    ^
    |___________ here a link

This could be useful for terminal browsers which does not support imagemap, or for users who don't load pictures to save bandwidth, or when you print the page in a text layout.

Of course this means a very strict use of (") or something like [] or {}.

That was my suggestion.
