Corporate clients are *VERY* picky (I speak as a person who just spent the past hour frantically centering header bars and removing spaces at the whims of a large multi-billion dollar corporation...). I sometimes have to resort to the evil <center> to get it without the spaces. I dunno, my brain is fried, maybe there's another way to get a picture above something else without a big fat blank space in between...
