It would be useful to have an example of CURIE syntax solving the IPTC issue, since the introduction has 2 paragraphs decribing the problem, but not the solution. Or perhaps the problem itself could be explained better by example, for instance saying something like [[ the IPTC would like to have a typed schema that allows both <TopicSetRef TopicSet="urn:newsml:iptc.org:iptc:20001006:IptcSubjectCodes"/> and <TopicSetRef TopicSet="iptc:10112244"/>" i.e. one attribute type that allows both syntaxes. QNames don't work, so we're introducing CURIES. ]] Or something like that, if I understand correctly. Max.
