Hi, This is a QA Review comment for "XHTML 2.0" http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml2-20060726/ 2006-07-26 8th WD About http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml2-20060726/mod-metaAttributes.html#s_metaAttributesmodule This is an archaism of HTML. The language has been designed in a scientific/engineering community and still carries odd elements with a very narrow usage for most of the people. Define a "computing" role attribute module for these elements and remove them from the language. It will give more flexibility for authors and the semantics could be enlarged. It would also remove the constraints on semantics redundancy due to the choice of block/inline model. blockcode, code, samp, var, kbd -- Karl Dubost - http://www.w3.org/People/karl/ W3C Conformance Manager, QA Activity Lead QA Weblog - http://www.w3.org/QA/ *** Be Strict To Be Cool ***
