Hi, This is a QA Review comment for "XHTML Role Attribute Module" http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml-role-20060725/ 2006-07-25 1st WD About http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xhtml-role-20060725/#docconf In the section 2.1, Document Conformance, we noticed that the namespace givent to the role attribute is the one of XHTML 1.0 and XHTML 1.1 http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml which means that XHTML 1.0 and/or XHTML 1.1 could be republished with this new attribute without requiring heavy modifications of these specifications. It would help a lot the adoption of this attribute and enlarge the possibility of defining semantics on the Web. Though we see a problem, this module is defined also in XHTML 2.0 with a different namespace. - Will it be two different modules? - If yes how to build new values for this attribute without having to define the value for both modules. We suppose the values are orthogonal to the role attribute itself, then say so. - We think that the extensibility mechanism must be explained (see my other mail on the topic: Extensibility - New values for role attributes) -- Karl Dubost - http://www.w3.org/People/karl/ W3C Conformance Manager, QA Activity Lead QA Weblog - http://www.w3.org/QA/ *** Be Strict To Be Cool ***
