In <http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/interact/forms.html#input-control-types> it is unclear what happens when the specified value does not match any of the allowed value for the "type" attribute. Given what implementations do that should be "text". Please clarify the specification so that it is clear for implementors what they have to do when the value of the "type" attribute does not match any of the specified values. -- Anne van Kesteren <http://annevankesteren.nl/> <http://www.opera.com/>
