This is not a typo.  It refers to so-called "CALS table model", same as
a comment in the HTML 4 DTD.  For more information about CALS table model,
have a look at OASIS Technical Memorandum TM 9502:1995 [3], or RFC 1942 [4] 
will explain relationship between CALS table model and HTML table model.
