Hi, It would be helpful to readers of the XML Events specification if the names of the files to which the schema (and DTDs) should be saved were stated clearly. Even better it should provide URI links to current and validated xsds for XML Events. To obtain the XML Events xsd files I had to perform the following. 1. Copy the text from Appendix B section B.1 in http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Group/2003/PR-xml-events-20030501 to a text file. 2. Determine the name of the file for point 1 from Appendix B section B.2. (xml-events-attribs-1.xsd) 3. Copy the text from Appendix B section B.2 to a text file. 4. Determine the name of the file for point 3 from Appendix A section A.2. (xml-events-1.mod replace mod with xsd) There are also two spelling mistakes in Appendix B section B.2, </xs:simpleTyle> should be </xs:simpleType>, 2 occurances. Both schema files have an annotation source reference to xml-events-copyright-1.xsd, however, I am unable to location that file, again a URI would be helpful. BTW. The name of the XML Events schema files referenced from within the XForms schema is incorrect. You may want to inform the XForms working group that the file names are different from the ones that they are using. I suggest you change the second sentance in Appendix B to at least add the intended filenames e.g.: "The schema implementation of XML Events conforms to the requirements defined in [XHTMLSCHEMAMOD]. It is divided into an attributes module, xml-events-attribs-1.xsd, and an element module for the XML Events module, defined in this Recommendation, xml-events-1.xsd." Hope that these commments prove useful. Cheers, DAN Daniel Fowler Solutions Architect daniel.fowler@focus-solutions.co.uk Tel: 01926 468300 Extension: 341
