The spec doesn't mention 'nesting xframes' explicitly, but it's not obvious that it can't be done. This would have significant performance benefits for web servers and web clients, since the pages of many modern web sites are not cachable as a whole (consider Amazon's personalized pages, or sites with dynamic search capability), but contain a lot of cachable elements within them. HTTP 1.1 distributed caching would then really begin to shine. Thanks, Dominic.
