Actually this is a known bug in MSIE (more specifically the MSXML parser used in IE) and XMLSpy. We have asked Microsoft to fix MSXML parser, and XMLSpy folks pledged to fix this bug in their coming release. I really hope they will release the fixed version soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
