IN SHORT: PLEASE CHANGE THE DOWNLOADABLE FILE html40.pdf.gz INTO html40.pdf (or gzip it). (NOT ONLY THE LINK) I just downloaded the gzipped pdf version of the html 4.01 spec (html40.pdf.gz) and found out that the suffix .gz is wrong because it is a pure .pdf file (anyway after removing the .gz suffix it worked without problems) and therefore cannot be decompressed by any zip program. thank you -tjs- -- GMX - Die Kommunikationsplattform im Internet. http://www.gmx.net
