Hello! Recently I was trying to validate an HTML 4.0 Strict DTD document within a FRAMESET, and noticed that the HTML Validator service will not validate documents that use target as an attribute, such as <a href="http://wherever.com" target="frame1">. This would suggest that target as an attribute is depreciated in HTML 4.0. However, the documentation does not state that target is a depreciated attribute, and it suggests using target as an attribute to open a page in another frame window using both the A tag in the BODY and the BASE tag in the HEAD. Is there any reason why this was left out of the HTML 4.0 validation? Thanks, Kevin Fields
