The newly founded betterFORM project is happy to announce that the release of betterFORM 3.0 code-named 'lightSteelBlue' can now be downloaded from http://www.betterform.de/download.html betterFORM combines a full XForms 1.1 implementation with the Dojo toolkit for enterprise-level solutions. It allows easy creation of highly dynamic AJAX-enabled user interfaces with attractive and accessible controls and predefined layout containers. Even complete web-applications can be build in a declarative way. An online demo is available at: http://www.betterform.de/demo.xhtml Only a few key features: - easy installation - supports dynamic embedding of subforms (by an extension of the XForms load action) - fully declarative programming model - fully accessible UI controls - XFormsFeatureExplorer for live documentation - runs as standalone server (optionally with eXist - http://exist.sourceforge.net ) - open source under BSD license - professional support available Five different browsers have been fully tested against the XForms 1.1 Test Suite Edition 1 with a success rate of 95 to 98% namely: -Firefox 3.0 (OSX) -Firefox 3.6 (OSX) -Chrome 4 (XP) -Chrome 5 (OSX) -IE7 (XP) The full test reports are available online at: http://www.betterform.de/product.html Please report problems and suggestions to our public mailing-list at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/betterform-users Have fun, Joern Turner for the betterFORM team
