Announce: Free Online XForms Validation Service

XForms Institute (http://xformsinstitute.com) is proud to announce the
launch of a new Web service, currently in beta: Free Online XForms
Validation

http://xformsinstitute.com/validator/

As evidenced by a flurry of recent product announcements, W3C XForms is
becoming an increasingly-important part of strategies for capturing and
managing information.

This online application provides advanced checks of XForms Documents, using
XHTML or other languages as a host. Automated checks include:

1. Scanning for namespace-related errors, unfortunately commonplace in XML
development
2. Performing "lint"-like checks for suspicious, but technically legal code
3. A robust check of ID/IDREF connections, even if these aren't properly
DTD-declared
4. Relax NG validation of individual "islands" of XForms content within the
host document

The site includes samples of valid and invalid XForms documents for
one-click testing, and a bookmarklet to add XForms Validation capabilities
to any JavaScript browser.

Bug reports, comments, suggestions, and success stories should be directed
to validator@xformsessentials.com
