Thank you for this comment. It has sparked an animated discussion about whether the lexical values or the ascii values for international email addresses should be stored in the XForms instances. We have come to the conclusion that it should be the lexical values, rather than the regular expression used in 5.2.5 of the XForms 1.1 spec. However, we would value your advice on the correct regular expression for an international email address. Would you be willing to help us with that? Many thanks.
