The initial paragraph of E3 indicates, "In inputmode attributes, script tokens should always be listed before modifiers." What is the meaning of this statement? Should an XForms processor ever indicate an error or exception if a modifier precedes a script token? If that is not the case, what is the point of the "should always" in the current text? For the avoidance of doubt the above points are sent to www-forms-editor@w3.org with the expectation of receiving a formal response from the XForms Working Group, ideally with appropriate clarification in a future draft of the XForms specification. I would also be interested to better understand the approach not only of allowing structure within the content of an attribute but specifying an ordering of that structure. You may be aware that SVG has received some criticism for allowing styling properties to be combined within the SVG style attribute. However, there is no ordering prescribed by the SVG 1.0 Recommendation. Andrew Watt
