split files

How coan i recombine   split files  in different format  eg,  exe.bin.zip.
the  following command dosent show  clearly how to rcombine  split files.
copy /b file_xxx.001+file_xx.002+...+file_xxx.014 file.xxx

FOR  EXAMPLE

I WISH TO RECOMBINE in dos mode  pls note that  all the split files is in
exe  format
 macvis~1.001
 macvis~1.002
 macvis~1.003
 macvis~1.004
how to recombin all 4 files in one exe files or if its in different foemat
zip.exe .lha.arj.etc......
