sir: seems there's something wrong with your www4mail servers, not just the speed they respond to requests, but also the way they returnattachments. for example, when I request a webpage: tsource http://www.ssa.gov/history/early.html they used to return an attachment named "early.html", which I can double click to open with my browser. but now the attachment they return is something called "att00110.txt", and even after I save it as a *.htm file and then open it with a browser, there's always something displayed at the top of the page like: Content-Type: html; name="early.html" Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="early.html" Content-Description: hyper-text if it's a binary file, then the problem will be bigger. for example, I sent the following command: tsource http://www.ssa.gov/history/pics/dep1b.jpg and www4mail returned an attachment called "att00124.txt". even after I save it as a *.jpg file, I still can't open it, no matter what image processor I use. I don't think there's anything wrong with my email program, 'cause it works well with attachments returned by agora. I wonder if you can suggest me a way to deal with that. s. li 07-31-99
