Hi Johannes, We are also working in that same topic and related DI problems. We discuss the content negotiation problem in many sides not only related to the HTTP 1.0 or HTTP 1.1 protocol. You can take a look on NAC (Negotiation and Adaptation Core) (http://opera.inrialpes.fr/people/Tayeb.Lemlouma/NAC.htm) and related papers that we have written. NAC is based on many "recent" technologies like: XML, XSLT, CC/PP, RDF, DI principles.. Regards.
