I have been using Linux since 1995 and have been using Slackware the whole time. So I know how to work through problems on a build of a piece of software. I gotta say this is the most mangled piece of software I have ever seen. No matter what hoops I jumped through, no matter how much I read, no matter what I tried it wouldn't build without erroring out. So I downloaded the debian .deb binary and in converted it for slackware and installed it. I pretty much discovered that it wasn't worth the download after I got it going. Bluefish works a lot better, no it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it works. Amaya doesn't even display existing web pages properly. Gotta double click links like windows. Really disappointing after all the grief of trying to get it built. -- If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen. Samuel Adams, August 1, 1776 at the Philadelphia State House
