Irene, Thank you for your attention to this perplexing problem. I've twice (on two occasions about 10 days apart) downloaded the 9.3 installation module for Windows, executed, and instantly gotten a Window message box telling me that "Amaya has encountered a problem and has to close" - very uninformative. I have just reinstalled 9.3, watched it die an early death, again, and went looking for that directory - exactly as you gave it to me - no, it's not there, even when I turn on "display protected systems files" flag. > And if it includes a list_url_utf8.dat file? Obviously, I couldn't check this. By the way, the Windows installation instructions page for Amaya - http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/InstallW.html is unreadable in Opera 8.51 (latest version) due to overwriting of the main text by the menu division or whatever. Same thing happens in Firefox. Fortunately (for W3C!) it doesn't work in MS IE6 either. Someone needs to give that page a margin large enough to allow space for the menu. Why do I care? Because I'm trying to find out if I have to uninstall a previous version to install an updated version of Amaya. From what I can read of this page, I'd guess not. I hope you can figure out what's wrong with the 9.3 installation - at least with my installation. I really like to run the latest version. Thanks so much for your help.
