I downloaded the CVS version of Amaya, but unfortunately was not able to build the executable. However, I substitued the CVS file where gtk_set_locale() appears for the corresponding file in Amaya 86 src distribution. The executable was succesfully built, I was able to enter portuguese characters in the URL bar and in the Title dialogue, and in almost every dialogue where chars could be entered. But wait: in the main Window, source window structure window, etc. all portuguese characters were substituted by "odd" chars! Even the cedilla (ç) char did not work anymore. I really do not understand this difference of behaviour! Some years ago the same difference happened in previous versions of Amaya. Well, I hink I will wait and hope that the next Amaya version has this bug closed for good! Regards José -- J. Magalhães Cruz --- jmcruz@fe.up.pt --- ... free, as in freedom...
