Spell Check of word fragments

If the cursor is inside a word and spell check is done, it includes the 
fragment.

For example, if the cursor (|) appears as follows:

test wo|rds

and spell check is done, it says rds is not a word.  It should say 
nothing since it should either not include "words" or exclude "words".
