Amaya 5.1: Annotation problem

I created an annotation saying "Test für Hygiene". When trying to load 
the XML file with the text, namely:

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
  <title>Annotation of Hygiene</title>
</head>

<body>
<p>Test für Hygiene</p>
</body>
</html>

Amaya complains about a parsing error, and output stops before the 
umlaut 'ü'.

BTW: I miss a feature that will display the index of all my 
annotations, allowing me to load the related document and to jump to 
the annotation by double-clicking in the index of annotations.
