My apologies for replying so late. When I launch amaya as built below, I get a window titled "AmayaPage.html Formatted_view". The "Address" box shows (basename) "AmayaPage.html" The "Title" box shows "Welcome to Amaya". However no text is displayed. When I use "File" -> "Open Document" to load a long HTML file, the Address and Title show correctly, the proportional scroll-bar on the right-hand side shrinks in size, indicating a long file; but nothing is displayed. I can use "File" -> "Save As..." to save the loaded file elsewhere. I am waiting for a CD that may have an RPM of a more recent version of lesstif, and will try again. -arun gupta >From Irene.Vatton@inrialpes.fr Wed Jun 23 06:07:05 1999 >cc: www-amaya@w3.org >Reply-To: Irene.Vatton@inrialpes.fr >Subject: Re: Amaya compiles, does not display anything > >In-reply-to: Your message of Tue, 22 Jun 1999 15:58:07 -0400." > <199906221958.PAA26900@mink.mt.att.com> >> Hi, >> >> On Redhat Linux version 5 (kernel 2.0.36), >> lesstif-devel-0.86.0-1998.09.17-1, >> GNU Make version 3.76.1 >> gcc version 2.7.2.3 OR egcs-2.90.29 980515 >> amaya-src-2.0a.tar.gz >> >> I get a successful compile; amaya launches and does >> everything but display the pages that it loads. >> >> I will look for a more recent version of lesstif, >> and report back results. >> >> -arun gupta >> suvidya@worldnet.att.net >> >> > >Does Amaya open a document window when you launche it? >If not, it probably doesn't find out schemas HTML.STR or HTML.PRS >Could you check that? >Thanks > Irene. > > > >
