as discussed previously, I wish to contribute to the development of  
SVG support in Amaya this summer.

will this include authoring as well as rendering?

where is the design process being discussed?

my particular concerns are regarding, but not limited to support for:

simple child friendly authoring GUI

clone tool

copy and paste, >> creation of symbol and use

separation of presentation and content, cleaner code and help author  
understand benefits
