>SVG: path CRASH bug > >Irene, > >How is progress on SVG authoring tool in Amaya? > >Could I ask that you review copy and paste? What is currently available (see the screenshot): - create simple shapes - create line, arrow, text, foreignObject & image - create and edit polyline and curves - group/ungroup - bring backward/forward - rotate 90° and flip - rotate, skew, scale and translate - align objects - style: color, opacity... You can experiment most of these features in the last snapshot: http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/BinDist.html The next steps are: - continuing the commands to edit shapes - replacing the SVG library by a simplier mechanism that will use the SVG tool panel rather than a copy/paste >I successfully copied, pasted and saved the sunny icon from: >http://www.openicon.org/feeds/test.svg >into a new document, This is excellent, and works well. > However where <use> remote file links to a symbol with a <path> such as > when the live icon is 'sunny intervals' this causes a crash. > regards > if this is not clear enough I can produce a further reduced test case. I have not been able to reproduce the crash. I know that there is a crash when you cut a point in a polyline/path but this is not related to the <use/> element. Note that the way Amaya deal with selection in formatted view has changed since the last release (basically, to edit elements in a group, you must "ungroup" them first). Frédéric Wang
