Building the 4 meg distrib

How do I compile and separate out the directories so that  I could
recreate the 4 megabyte binary distribution?  Is there a tool for this or
is it done manually?  Also, in MS VC++ do you have to select amaya-
release build or can it be done with Debug mode as well?
