RE: Keyboard access to landmark roles

My thoughts

This example looks great.  It is good to have a landmark example that shows
multiple uses of navigation areas.   I don't think content-info, search, or
navigation need to have a label unless there are more than one.  

I don't think it needs role of application.  I don't know if there are any
hard rules on when to use role=application but I think one good clue is when
you have to use the arrow keys for navigation such as when in a toolbar or
treeview.   Also if more advanced keystrokes are needed to interact with
components.  Since your example can be fully navigated using the TAB key I
wouldn't use application.
