aloha, charles! i did a bit of asking about and discovered that one needn't have RealPlayer installed on their machines to render all of the sound types RealPlayer supports; instead, one can use an application named called RealAlternative, which is what webbIE now uses rather than having the user download and install RealPlayer if not already installed, which can be a royal pain in the arse... anyway, here is a highly recommended site which may provide an interim answer to allowing FireVox to trigger aural events, leaving it to the RealAlternative (or another backplane renderer) to render those events... http://finalbuilds.edskes.net/#realal ----------------------------------------------------------------- Sometimes I think my writing sounds like I walked out of the room and left the typewriter running. -- Gene Fowler ----------------------------------------------------------------- Gregory J.
