A radically new concept in adapted PDA technology was shown in prototype during CSUN. Designed from the ground up to serve users who are blind or visually impaired, the hand-held Icon from Levelstar (a new company in AT) provides a 20 Gb hard drive, Firefox, email, integrated Book Share access, calendar, address book, one touch audio recording, and a music player. When docked a full size keyboard facilitates word processing tasks. There are two podcasts demonstrating this device at: http://blindcooltech.xplorations.net/bct481BreakfastWithMarc.mp3 http://blindcooltech.xplorations.net/bct482IconDemo.mp3 -- Janina Sajka Phone: +1.240.715.1272 Partner, Capital Accessibility LLC http://www.CapitalAccessibility.Com Marketing the Owasys 22C talking screenless cell phone in the U.S. and Canada--Go to http://www.ScreenlessPhone.Com to learn more.
