Hi, Please consider the following situation: A video with audio in which all visual information is described in the audio. For example, a simple interview (talking heads). Does this video require a transcript to comply with WCAG 2.1 A? This page says it doesn't under the heading "Does My Media Need a Transcript?: Video with audio content: • For pre-recorded: • Transcripts are at WCAG Level AAA. (Captions are A.) The page also links to https://www.w3.org/WAI/media/av/planning/#wcag-standard It contains a table, which also states that video with audio needs a transcript at level AAA only if I understand the table correctly. Understanding Success Criterion 1.2.8: Media Alternative (Prerecorded) has a note: > For 1.2.3, 1.2.5, and 1.2.7, if all of the information in the video track is already provided in the audio track, no audio description is necessary. But is doesn't speak of the necessity of a transcript in this situation. Any guidance would be appreciated regarding what is required to comply.
