My apologies for not knowing where to post this as a GitHub issue! I am just off a call with GSA and EPA talking about accordions and advocating that there are good accessibility reasons to use them carefully. I lifted up the QuickRef as a model implementation. But is there really no way to get Google (and other search engines) to expand the section to show a hit? For example, do a search a string that you know is there. Google search result shows the hit in context, as it should, and as expected. But then follow the link (from Google) and first impression will be that Google was lying. www.google.com/search?q=%22content%20is%20primarily%20intended%22%20site%3Aw3.org/wai/wcag21/quickref<http://www.google.com/search?q=%22content%20is%20primarily%20intended%22%20site%3Aw3.org/wai/wcag21/quickref> I have written this up as an issues with the USWDS folks, please see: http://github.com/uswds/uswds/issues/3435 From the call, we think this particular issue with accordions is probably something the search engines need to fix. I was reminded that, not so long ago, search engines ignored content within accordions. Thanks very much!
