Good afternoon, I was reviewing the page Easy Checks - A First Review of Web Accessibility. One consideration that should be taken is ensuring if a page is available in multiple languages for the page to check for default language for the user, and present the information in that language if possible. This will ensure more compliance when dealing with readers who can not read the page directly to ensure the correct language is presented. As the declaration is simple enough to include in the markup with the declaration such as <html lang="en">, this will help ensure compliance. It may also be suggested if a log is kept showing which languages are set as the default on a more regular basis to ensure the content is correctly presented to the greatest audience. As other languages are in demand, if the author can encode options for presenting the material in those languages, this also would ensure greater accessibility. Just an old suggestion from an old web developer. Sincerely, Brian B. Wood, Ph.D.
