It would be kind of nice to use this opportunity to demonstrate on the WAI
site how planning is so important for helping to create accessible videos.
We already have a set of videos that needs audio description and we have
provided it (Perspectives Videos). Now we can show a set of videos that
does not need audio description because it was planned for in the scripting
process and the planning for the visuals. If we are thoughtful, as Shadi
says we can create videos that don't need audio description (would be good
to bring up to the working group when we review the survey results so that
everyone understands that we are trying to write scripts and produce
footage that do not need description). We can even go as far as showing an
example in our media resource... "video that needs AD, and video that does
not need AD, because of how they were developed."
Could be a great educational tool if done right.
