Hi there. 1 – A link on this page to the online comment form is broken: https://www..w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag/commenting/onlineform 2 – I have a comment for WCAG (some future version): I have been working on a project with an app that has a navigation "side menu” on all pages on mobile, where it is a collapsible “hamburger” menu activated with a button, and on the pages that are “sub-pages” on desktop. The primary page in both cases is essentially this menu, but laid out.. It’s hard to describe, so I’ve mocked it up, below. Question I was inquiring in the community whether SC 3.2.3 Consistent Navigation would apply when comparing the order of links between: 1. The primary page in desktop layout vs. mobile layout; and 2. The primary page’s links and the sub-pages’ side/collapsible menu (mobile/desktop, they’re the same) Mock-ups 1. The Primary Page is effectively a screen of links to the sub-pages. In my mock-up, the text in the first row is text and rows 2-5 are links that go to sub-pages: Our People Our Products Colors Janice Juice Red Jim Jellies Blue Joe Jumbotrons Green Jackie Jack-o-lanterns Orange When the primary page’s window is narrowed to force it into mobile mode, you see this (with the products and colors sections reversed). Our People Janice Jim Joe Jackie Colors Red Blue Green Orange Our Products Juice Jellies Jumbotrons Jack-o-lanterns 1. Subpages have a side-menu, which are the same in mobile and desktop. The side-menu looks the same as the primary page when it’s in mobile mode, with the exception that the first link goes back to the main page: Main Page Our People Janice Jim Joe Jackie Colors Red Blue Green Orange Our Products Juice Jellies Jumbotrons Jack-o-lanterns I believe that the spirit of this success criterion is violated, here, because the user needs to learn two different “orders” for the main and sub-pages, as well as the main page in two different views.
