Dear W3C. I work as a nurse in a hospital Trust, in the UK. The Trust is changing its basic software programme to a new system. However, I am registered severe sight impaired and currently use Zoomtext 10.1. The company who make the new software (to be introduced to the Trust at the end of October), claim they meet WCAG 2.0 AA standard. However, Zoomtext will only work with the more recent parts of this new software. A meeting with the company may hold some resolution but not completely. I would just like to know if the WCAG is a pure guideline or does it have any means of being able to be enforced? I do not have any problems using a PC with the current Trust software and Zoomtext. The software being introduced (Electronic Patient Record) is going to be fantastic for me as a clinical nurse specialist but not as a sight impaired person. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. Cathy
