Ack! Soory, guys; tracking wildfires here set me back. I had uploaded some changes before I saw Wayne's "It's done" e-mail. I might be in the wrong genre — user manual as opposed to help — but I never quite got the idea of how Slidy worked from the help. Please, if you don't mind, take a quick look at what I've done. To orient the reader to how to view a presentation in Slidy, I thought we should: 1. Tell about the different display options. Much of the other information depends on my first understanding the difference between Slideshow mode and Web Page mode. 2. Tell about moving between slides. In so doing, group the "Slideshow only" options away from the rest. 3. Tell how to move within slides. I went out on a limb a bit in describing how you can move through a presentation in Web Page mode: "In this mode, you can Page Down through the show, but you cannot jump directly to any slide other than the next or previous one." The implication is that, in Web Page view, Page Down moves you one slide further along. But is that the case? Or does it move you one *screen* (possible less than a slide; possibly more) further along? Another conceptual change was to make sure to tell what the purpose of a command was before telling the command. Thus, users can skim the help to quickly find what they want to do and then read what key does it. If this is wrongheaded, please do help me learn a bit more. And feel free to revert back to the prior version if that would be better. Thanks, Wayne :-) I made some minor edits to the page (mostly for consistency). > -----Original Message----- > From: wayneedick@gmail.com [mailto:wayneedick@gmail.com] On Behalf > Of Wayne Dick > Sent: Monday, September 05, 2011 12:30 PM > To: Cliff Tyllick > Cc: Char James-Tanny; Shawn Henry; wai-eo-editors@w3.org > Subject: Re: First Draft: Slidy Help > > Thank You Char and Cliff and EO for your help. > > I think this help suffices for a quick upgrade. > > http://www.w3.org/wiki/Slidy_Help > > Let's close the project. > > Wayne
