To: <wed@csulb.edu> CC: Shawn Lawton Henry <shawn@w3.org> Hi, Wayne :-) Wow...nice job! Sorry I didn't get to this sooner (especially after you put it out so quickly). I have some comments (probably not very tactful, so I'll apologize now). - I'm confused as to who the target audience is. I thought it was for people using Slidy (that is, viewing the presentation on the web), but it looks like it's for the speaker. The wording could be modified to cover both at the same time. - It looks weird on my system because I customize my browsers to show me flaws in my CSS. So I'm getting black text on a brown background; headings are Comic Sans, text is Arial/Verdana/some basic serif font (which is fine); there isn't enough differentiation in heading sizes; left margin of bullets is outside the left margin of the headings. This makes it harder for me to analyze the structure, although overall it looks OK. - There shouldn't be colons after any heading. - For the most part, the bulleted lists are OK (because there are various options that one can use to navigate through the slides, so they shouldn't be numbered steps). But bullets are used incorrectly under "Webpage or Slideshow View".actually, there shouldn't be any except for the two that start "If you are in.". And "Press F11" should not use a bullet (under "Full Screen or Normal View") because there's no second option. (Whenever there's only one option, a regular paragraph should be used.) - There are a couple of places where I'd add commas. (This is fairly typical for me ;-) ) - Some sentences need some slight editing. Eg, "If your slides have footers pressing "F" will show or hide them. (next bullet) Only works in slideshow view." I'd change the heading to "Show / Hide Footers in Slideshow View" (from "Show / Hide Footers"), and I'd change the sentence to "If the slides have footers, press "F" to show or hide them." (And there shouldn't be any bullets.) - For "> character" and "+ character", I'd consider adding "Shift+." and "Shift+=". - I'd put "for bigger" and "for smaller" (under "Increase font size" and "Decrease font size") in parentheses. - Heading capitalization is inconsistent. - Space is missing between some words in a couple of places. Let me know if you have any questions. If you want, I can make some of the edits if you send me the file.
