WAI staff are continuing to explore options for a second co-Chair to lead the group together with Simon. The RDWG was approved in September 2010 [1] but the launched postponed until the announcement of the Chair(s). Simon leads the Manchester Web Ergonomics Lab and has a 15 year research interest in accessibility. He is the Lead Research Committer in the Eclipse Accessibility Tools Framework project, co-founded the Web4All (W4A) conference series, and has published over 80 peer reviewed papers, four book chapters, and the Springer book - Web Accessibility: A Foundation for Research. Simon will continue to serve as a member of the WAI User Agent Working Group, where he actively participated over the past two years. We plan to send a call for participation in the RDWG separately.
