Following UP On Action Items

I wanted to follow up on some action items or other entries that had my name associated with them.

4.1.2 The user has the option to specify that keystrokes be processed in the following order: user agent user interface, user agent extensions, content keystroke operations administered by the user agent (e.g., access keys), and executable content (e.g., key press events in scripts, etc.).



This now seems to be in 4.9.  I had an action to discuss this with our development team and we are fine with this and believe it is technically possible from our initial discussion.  I do see a comment in the above URL that this should be on a per site basis and am not sure that's needed for a user agent to be accessible.  It is an enhancement for accessibility of course but I do not believe it is a requirement.

After thinking about this further, I'm not sure the guideline itself needs clarification.  I think this is saying as written in the review draft that what we want.  In technical details we would clarifiy for example that this wouldn't include text shown by a plug-in, because it would be the plug-in's responsibility.
