all the examples I have seen thus far talk about brush strokes and flying helicopters and the like and not free hand drawing. One idea is to come up with language that gets the point across without hard coding an exception. <<<an attempt>>> 4.1.1 Keyboard Operation: All functionality can be *operated via the keyboard* using *sequential* and/or *direct* keyboard commands that do not require specific timings for individual keystrokes, except where the underlying function requires input that depends on the path of the user's movement and not just the endpoints, such that its complexity would overwhelm efficiency. >>>end of attempt<<< Some tweaking may be in order here, to get across the actual point being made for instance, taking out the except altogether and using a different approach before the end note but as it currently stands above, it seems to achieve the objective without compromise. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Allan" <jimallan@tsbvi.edu> To: "'WAI-UA list'" <w3c-wai-ua@w3.org> Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2008 1:46 PM Subject: Addendum : User Agent Teleconference for 10 April 2008 URL added for agenda item: c. review compromise language for Level A success criteria http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ua/2008AprJun/0027.html -----Original Message----- From: w3c-wai-ua-request@w3.org [mailto:w3c-wai-ua-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Jim Allan Sent: Tuesday, April 08, 2008 2:54 PM To: 'Jan Richards'; 'WAI-UA list' Subject: User Agent Teleconference for 10 April 2008 User Agent Teleconference for 10 April 2008 ------------------------------------------------------------ Chair: Jim Allan Date: Thursday, 10 April 2008 Time: 2:00-3:00 pm Boston Local Time, USA (19:00-20:00 UTC/GMT) Call-in: Zakim bridge at: +1-617-761-6200, code 82941# for UK use 44-117-370-6152 IRC: sever: irc.w3.org, port: 6665, channel: #ua. ------------------------------------------------------------- Agenda: 0.
