Aaron Leventhal talked to the students working on this project this past week. He said their code is watching Mozilla DOM events and interfacing with an XPCOM speech component they built. Basically they're building a self-voicing Firefox. Once they see where the Mozilla DOM isn't giving them the information they need, they can use the accessibility interfaces (MSAA for Mozilla).
