Peter, Another potential issue will be providing oreintation when a cell, element or form control receives the caret or focus.. The status line would be one way to provide orientation information. For example, the status line could reflect the headers for athe "current data" cell in a table, the lable associated with a form control and the element that the caret is currently in.
