Regarding WAI Accessibility Guidelines: Browser User Interface http://www.w3.org/WAI/UA/WD-WAI-UA-BROWSER-19980603 in section 4.3 Alternative Representations for Sound, Video, Movies, and Animations Comment 1: Have you considered user controls which block sounds parallel to the controls discussed above which block images? Comment 2: where it says 1. [PRIORITY 1] Allow the user to turn on audio descriptions of sound, videos, movies, and animations. This would set a flag ... I suggest that you clarify the set of user choices and align them as closely as you can in good conscience with the predefined "test variables" in the SMIL specification.
