When I boot to 2.4.24-ben1 Direct rendering seems to be disabled here.
And I'd like to understand why.

When I boot to my old backup kernel  2.4.22-ben2 everything seems fine,
Direct Rendering seems to be on. This old kernel seems to work with old
drm-trunk-module-src
modules.

This is a diff between /var/log/XFree86.0.log
for booting 2.4.22-ben2 and /var/log/XFree86.0.log.old for 2.4.24-ben1
