Quickfire reply just on the latest thought on 1.3.1: yes, 1.3.1 *can* be used in my view to justify failing something that clearly has visually been styled to not "exist" or be there, but is nonetheless exposed to SRs. Though I'd wield this sword with some nuance, and only fail egregiously bad cases. For my part, I've been known to fail things like "even though the hamburger menu is visually closed, when using SR I can still read through its entire content in browse mode, so you've not hidden it properly" P -- Patrick H.
