Dear Advisory Committee representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

The Web Accessibility Initiative Interest Group (WAI IG) charter [1] is
hereby extended until 30 June 2024.

WAI IG is primarily an e-mail discussion list. It is a well-established
Interest Group with over a thousand participants. It focuses on
understanding and implementing web accessibility guidelines and
specifications, and increasing awareness of accessibility. WAI IG
discussion of general and technical issues related to web accessibility
contributes to a comprehensive accessibility approach at W3C.

W3C Team plans to propose a new charter during the extension period with
no substantive changes from the current charter.

More information about the WAI Interest Group can be found on its
summary page [2], including information about group Chair and Team
Contact. Instructions for joining the Group mailing lists are at:
https://www.w3.org/WAI/about/groups/waiig/#mailinglist

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Shawn Lawton Henry at <shawn@w3.org>.

This charter extension follows section 4.5 of the W3C Process Document:

Thank you,

For Philippe Le Hegaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead,
