Applicability of WCAG 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 for the search edit fields.

Dear members,
We have A search dialog where the user can search for any query using
any keyword within the website. However, there is no required
attribute is present for the search field and when the user activates
the search button without providing any input, no error will be
displayed.
I would like to know whether this will be A failure under WCAG 3.3.1
error identification and 3.3.2 labels and instructions?
